One Stroke Gallery: Featured Artist
He wasn't born to be an artist----he was born artist.
Meet the Cavite Head Chapter of GUHIT Pinas:
Marvin "Bin" Samonte.
His artistry is rooted from his genes, coming from a family of artists-----from his great grandfather down to his generation. On that ground, ever since he was a child, Samonte was already exposed to arts and was strongly influenced by everyone in his family.
As a versatile artist, he uses different mediums for his artworks and still explores each time. Before, he actually worked for several years in Doha, Qatar as an artist in Cornich Decor Center, a company for interior designing.
Furthermore, his works was exhibited in one of the art gallery that has been featured already in Philippine Daily Inquirer.
Now, as we had Samonte during the Open Gallery of One Stroke, take a look on his works that's undeniably awe-striking:
This work entitled "Viva Sto. Niño" is made from acrylic and concrete texture. The painting clearly topics the Sinulog festival mainly held in Cebu. Focusing on its details, you will see how it was meticulously done by hand from the fine texture evident on the work. The colors used were also coordinated well to the usual colors in celebration of the festival.
"Bountiful Harvest", on the other hand, is acrylic on canvas. It shows the harvesting time in the country. The fertility is noticeable in the painting with the range of greens used plus the bright color of red-ish purple of the fruit harvested.
